With experience spanning the spectrum from association management to project and logistics management for a state office, Rachel Leibold has served the public policy sector for more than 10 years, making her a rare asset with a skill set that can be applied universally.
Growing up in Northeast Iowa, Rachel attended Iowa State University before diving into public policy with Agribusiness Association of Iowa (AAI). As one of the largest agriculture associations in the U.S., she served as Member Services Coordinator where she managed logistics for AAI as well as their eight subsidiary associations.
Her time at AAI lead to her eventual employment with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) where she worked for Iowa’s Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey from 2014-2017. During her time there, Rachel served as the Executive Assistant and Project Manager to Secretary Northey as well as Deputy Secretary Mike Naig, Iowa’s current Secretary of Agriculture.
In 2017, when Secretary Northey was appointed as an Under Secretary for the United States Department of Agriculture, Rachel found herself looking for new opportunities, which lead her to Austin, Texas.
Since then, she has built up a network of contacts while managing the logistics of a lobby firm and working for some of the state’s most prominent and well-respected lobbyists, Drew DeBerry and Greg Macksood.
